Perfume as Practice 2020

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Perfume has Practice 2020 has been conducted entirely online and responds to the pandemic by taking a somewhat informal look at how to recreate historical plague cures by utilising the perfumery materials I have at my disposal.

Perfume as Practice 2020 runs under the title 'Plague for Plague's Sake', and is a series of videos that each take a look at a somewhat dubious historical plague cure and my attempts to recreate it through contemporary perfume making. The aim is to reveal the history of medicine through the craft of perfumery, which is presented with a little tongue-in-cheek. It is hoped that 'Plague for Plague's Sake' translates into a physical exhibition at some point in the future.
